Mount Royal is a core winter destination, with seasonal recreation depending on conditions. Skating appears across the city, while museums and restaurants provide warming breaks.
Build the itinerary differently
Do not schedule eight straight hours outdoors. Alternate an outdoor block with a museum, market, long lunch or other indoor stop.
Underground City
Downtown’s connected indoor network is useful in poor weather, but it is practical infrastructure rather than a replacement for the city above ground.
