- Reads guides for accuracy and checks details that change, such as Metro hours, the 747 airport bus and market hours, against official sources.
- Adds source links so readers can check details themselves. The main ones are listed on the sources page.
- Updates the "Updated" date on a page only when its content has been checked or changed.
- Removes claims we can’t support. If a sentence can’t be checked, it gets softened or cut.
Which pages Caleb edits
Caleb edits the guides across the site: the neighbourhood guides, things to do, food and drink, trip planning pages and itineraries. The byline at the top of each guide links back here, and the date beside it shows when that page was last checked.
What this page doesn’t claim
Caleb isn’t presented as a travel agent, a licensed guide or a local expert, and the guides aren’t written as personal trip reports. They’re planning guides built from official and published sources, listed on each page.
How a page gets checked
Before a guide is updated, the details that change get checked against the source that controls them. For transit, that’s the STM or the REM. For the markets, it’s Marchés publics de Montréal, and for attractions, their official sites. If a fact can’t be confirmed, the wording is softened or the sentence is removed. Opening hours and prices are only published when an official source lists them, and the source is linked on the page.
