Some links on MontrealCanadian.com are partner links. If you book through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.
Which partners
- Stay22: "See places to stay" links that open a hotel and rental search for a Montreal neighbourhood.
- Viator and GetYourGuide: tour and activity listings.
How the links work
Partner links go through a short redirect on this site (/go/…) and open the partner’s site in a new tab. They’re marked as sponsored for search engines. Bookings, prices, cancellations and customer service are handled by the partner or the provider they send you to, not by us.
What partners don’t control
Partners don’t pay for coverage, and they don’t see or approve pages. We decide which neighbourhoods and tours to mention based on what fits the guide, and we don’t name hotels or tours we haven’t checked. Prices and availability change, so check them on the partner’s site.
Where partner links appear
Partner links appear in clearly separated boxes within the page, never in the opening section, and there are no more than three on any page. Stay22 links appear on neighbourhood and where-to-stay pages. Tour links appear on pages where a guide genuinely helps, such as Old Montreal, food and walking tours. Some pages, such as the cost-of-living, privacy and contact pages, have no partner links.
Why we use them
Commissions help pay for hosting and the time spent checking pages against official sources. They don’t change what we recommend. If an area or tour isn’t a good fit for most visitors, we don’t link to it, partner or not. If a partner link stops working or goes somewhere unexpected, please tell us.
