For transit, we check the transit agency. For attractions, we check the attraction or venue. For civic rules, we check municipal or provincial sources. For events, we check the organizer and current tourism calendars.
What we avoid
Other travel guides can be useful for ideas, but hours, ticket prices, event dates and operating rules are best checked with the organization responsible for them.
Some details change faster than others
A neighbourhood’s location or the fact that two areas are easy to combine usually changes slowly. Admission prices, opening hours, construction, festival dates and transit service can change quickly.
Before you make plans
Before paying for a booking or crossing the city for a specific activity, check the current official website. This matters most for seasonal attractions, holidays, special events and transit disruptions.
