How we choose topics
We focus on questions travellers actually need answered: where to stay, how to get around, what neighbourhoods are like, what to see, what to eat and how to use limited time well.
How we verify information
For details that can change—hours, fares, admissions, event dates and operating rules—we prefer official operator, government and tourism sources. Pages are written to remain useful even when specific prices or schedules change, and readers are encouraged to verify time-sensitive details before visiting.
Editorial independence
Coverage decisions are based on usefulness to the reader. If the site later uses affiliate links or paid partnerships, those relationships should be disclosed clearly and should not determine factual conclusions.
Corrections
Montreal changes constantly. If a factual error is identified, we aim to correct the page rather than preserve outdated information. Readers can use the contact page to flag errors or meaningful omissions.
Who edits the guides
Guides are edited by Greg Parsons and Caleb Parsons. Each guide shows the date it was last updated. We change that date only when the page’s content has actually been checked or changed.
