Warm weather brings the densest concentration of large music, comedy, arts and cultural events. Downtown public spaces can change dramatically during major festivals, with outdoor stages, closures and crowds becoming part of the atmosphere.
Winter has its own event rhythm
Cold months bring indoor programming, winter celebrations and seasonal outdoor events. They give a winter trip a focus, but the weather and the schedule matter more than they do in summer.
Events affect logistics
A major festival can raise hotel demand, change traffic patterns and make certain Downtown areas much busier. If a specific event is central to your trip, book accommodation earlier and check the official schedule before committing to daily plans.
